Was given some commercial vehicle DVD’s for Christmas by some good friends, enjoyed them, with Gerry Burr doing the commentary. Have heard him on several other DVD’s which I already have. He seems to have a good knowledge of the older wagons on road runs.
There’s a coincidence!
The estranged Mrs ■■■■ gave me a boxed set of four DVDs for Christmas, two of which are commentated by Gerry Burr. Haven’t got round to viewing them yet, mainly because I’ve just found my PS2 “TT Superbikes” game and I’ve been busy defeating John McGuinness over the mountain!
I believe Gerry Burr died a few years back. He was a good commentator on films, he did commentary at the Great Dorset Steam Fair also. He was an ex-lorry driver, so knew about the old lorries. I’ve got a few tapes/DVDs of old motors, some of the commentators make me cringe, I have to turn the sound off!
