If the journey is booked online before you leave or enroute, you must enter by the chosen border and follow the route, if you drive to the border, use the MAUT machine, it automatically starts from where you are and ends at the destination you choose, the route is printed on the ticket in the form of Aachen, A4,A3, Kelsterbach for example.

It will also tell you the distance, and the time you must be off the Autobahn, don’t worry, it gives you plenty of time, normally enough for a rest period.

If you have an OBU fitted, you just drive through any border you like, drive where you like and use any roads you like as it charges the company automatically

cool, well my plan is to head through germany up to denmark…

Cheaper to do as much as you can through Holland 1st.

Yeah go through the Netherlands, head up to Zwolle, Hoogeveen on A50, A28 and sigtn posted
Meppen (D) This brings you out on the A1 at Cloppenberg. There are a couple of places to get your Maut along tne way, 1st is the rastaat at elten, a nice little restaurant and filling station, or the autohof at Cloppenburg.
Watch along the A1 in Germany between Bremen and Hamburg, there miles of roadworks whilst they upgrade the4 motorway, no overtaking and can get clogged in rush hour traffic. Don’t forget to buy your vignette for denmark at the border

If you drive through Holland, you should already have the vignette for Denmark :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry my mistake  Last time I went to denmark I was told by my planner bto buy a couple of days worth at the border, and I work for a dutch firm who buys there’s yearly for the whole fleet.
I think you know which one  :sunglasses:

You would probably get about 20 hours for that, more than enough, if you are unsure, you just buy enough for the day to where you think you are going to get to. You can cancel it and get a refund but they charge you about 3 euros to do it.

In your example I would buy 2 tickets, one to the racetrack, and one from there to start on Monday 0300

I am out of it at the moment, but unless you have an OBU, it is a pain in the arse, especially on groupage or multidrop. It was so simple with the Eurovignette, buy one in Belgium for 3 or 4 days or a month and you were all sorted for the other places, including Germany

From the German Dutch border at Straelen to the German polish border at Forst the Maut gives you 30 hours, for Bad Bentheim to Farnkfurt Oder it is a little less.

For the way you used to do it you would have to buy it from the border to your stopping place at Berlin then buy a new one to take you from there to Frankfurt Oder.
