can anyone tell me the answers to these questions.
1 what happens if you dont know where you are going to stop how can you put an exit.
2 what happens if you run over the time allotted on the toll.
3 what happens if your route changes can you cancel the ticket.
Niel46 you are supposed to plan the route before hand,
a tip get your self one of the falk bus and trucker atlass,s
if you can find one even if its old as it has all the exits
and lots more inside plus all the parking areaas on the
GERMAN bab,
Niel get your boss to geta maut unit fitted it will save all the hassel and
it is more efficent and saves time and money in the long run
also how old is the truck as a euro 4 or 5 is chaeper than
euro .-0 or 1 ,
as for running out of time check with toll collect but i belive that you
can,t get done as you have paid the maut, and if the road is blocked
it an,t your fault,
I agree with Pete and Simon on this Neil.
If you are in Germany a lot, it is cheaper and a lot less hassle to get your rig kitted out with an OBU ( On Board Unit).
This will automatically record and charge every journey you make on a maut registered autobahn, without having to stop and book in manually at a terminal or having your boss book you in online via t’interwebthingy.
As for cancelling a ticket you can only do it if the value is over about 6quid iirc.
If you get a ticket from say Venlo to Leipzig, there will be plenty of time remaining to fit in a rest period. If you get a shorter route like Aachen to Koln and back, you will struggle to do it in the time allowed.
yes you go to one of the partners who do the fitting of the units
go on to the toll-collect site and read about itas the site is also in
english, a fitted unit will save you time trouble and make the
job of the driiver less stressful,
