It’s the beginning of the end. That lump of crap Galloway has won the election. He is the link between the British public and an introduction of sharia law. Very dangerous man. This is what happens when we don’t vote. Dicks like this get in. If you don’t belive me, do some digging on Google about the islamic population of antwerp. They are taking over and their share of the vote is expanding. If we’re not careful we will end up with an Islamic ruling party. Mark my words, it’s happening in Belgium and it will happen here. Galloway is a dangerous far left nut job
This is democracy in action,if you dont bother to vote then you get someone elses choice.

So true, and at least GG can string a sentence together.
He can hold his own in a mass debate

People obviously DID vote,he recieved over 18,000 compared to Labour’s 8,000 and Conservative got around 4,000…Lib Dems lost their deposit,so they cant have got many…thats 30,000 votes by my reckoning for West Bradford…In some areas he got over 50% of the vote and that was not just in the ‘Asian’ areas!!!
As for being ‘dangerous’ and being the ‘link’ between the British public and Sharia law?? …seems a bit scaremongering to me…you should be writing headlines for the hate filled Daily Mail.
Galloway is an intelligent, respectable man who dares to stand up for things that he believes in,not just out for public approval and just agreeing with things just to get a vote unlike most of the spineless ■■■■■ that sit on the gravy train in Parliament in Westminster and Brussels…He actually has a normal house in Bradford too,not a multi million pound mansion!!!
Yes,he does have a lot of backing from the Asian community, because he does a lot of work in those countries, especially Palestine where the people are persecuted by the just as evil lot in Israel.
There are plenty of very dangerous people in this government and in the United States, but no-one seems to mention the John McCains and the George Bush’s of this world anymore.
I’m not a fully blown supporter of Galloway, but I admire his resilience and bottle and the way that he conducts himself and good luck to him,if he is ■■■■,then he’ll be voted out…it just goes to show that the public are getting sick, tired and fed up with the same old rhetoric, lies and false promises of the main 3 parties.
I wouldn’t wipe my arse with the daily mail. I’m not scare mongering, just passing on my centre right view, to which you replied with your left wing view. Makes for a healthy debate

It sure does, which is a good thing …at least you didn’t call me a ■■■■■

Although I could have, due to freedom of speech

Only if that ‘free speech’ has terms and conditions so as not to offend anyone.
Credit where credit is due. A man worthy of respect for sure even though I disagree with much of what he says.
As for muslims taking over europe…a birthrate time bomb for sure. I have known for a long time I will live once again to be a foreigner in my own country and it may happen in several different ways.

Don’t vote? The turnout was over 50% which is actually very high for this country. And well over 50% of those who did vote, voted for him.

And you’re quote proved my point. If voting was mandatory, it may have been different. Much like most general elections, he won with less than 30% of those eligible to vote. A majority by the back door. If people continue with the attitude of “what’s the point” it won’t take long before a rich muslim starts a political party and starts to make headway
OVLOV JAY:

I doubt it would have been any different at all. Given that Galloway’s party got well over twice as many votes as the second place candidate on a turnout of over 50% even if the other 50% had been forced to vote I can’t see the situation would be any different. If he had only won by a relatively small margin then perhaps you would have a point but when the result is so very decisive then unless the turnout is very low your point doesn’t, IMO, hold at all.
Paul
I would hazard a guess that the percentage that didn’t turn out were not Galloways target vote. Just don’t belive he would have a majority if everyone voted imho
I wonder what it was about Bradford that attracted George Galloway to stand as a candidate

A vibrant, multicultral society that is sadly lacking in Georges hometown.

What triggered the By-election?
Marsha Singh is stepping down because of what he describes as “serious health problems.” Bradford West is a very safe Labour seat.
Imran Hussain (Safe Labour Seat Candidate)

If it was democracy ‘in action’ then abstentions would count as a vote against.A majority should mean the majority of the electorate not of just those who voted.

What makes you think that the Asian and/or African immigrant populations, that are increasing their numbers,by ever increasing amounts, both here and in other western powers like America ,would bother to take over through democratic methods anyway if/when those levels reach a critical mass whereby they could take over just by force of numbers. However the end result would be the same wether they do it by populating themselves into a ‘democratic majority’ or by force.
Everything points to a situation whereby it’ll be a case of ‘us’ or ‘them’ at some point in the long term .It’s obvious where Galloway stands on the immigration issue.
