If you mean George Allinson, I dont know anything about the modern operation. They use to run to Italy all the time, The company bought out Hewson Brothers at Howden which is now HB Holt & Sons. They also were in Rotherham with Ellerpack, from there the Company of Bellgate was formed with Paul; the office manager taking over the Euro work.

I know a lad who was on the containers for them a couple of years ago. but thats about it

depot in faverdale ind est darlington. also used to have place some where in wales. alliminium factory.
sure they have just had a good pay rise this year. i seem to remember some one telling me they were on decent dosh now.
run 99.9 % volvo fleet. mainly low cab fh,s. they do have a few globeys aswell.

they also do a lot of plastic pipe stuff, on flats aswell… :wink:

Ohterry is correct mainly Volvo fh12 except for specific contracts ie Uponor.
You leave the depot on Sunday get home Friday tackle seems to be well maintained. Before the pay rise last year I had an interview and was told the average wage was £650, I assume that was top line. They do have a web site but not sure of the URL.
