General strike in Italy on 30 November

The three large trade unions in Italy, namely CGIL, CISL and UIL have called a general strike against the national budget 2005. It is due to take place on Tuesday 30 November, and immobilise production and traffic for four hours. Motorway service station operators and public services also plan to stop work for the entire day. Several toll booths will not be in service at all, or be in reduced service.
