The thing is, I’ve a new job to start on Monday with Truswell in Barnsley but Gee’s are about 10 mins walk from my house. Saves me stealing the car off the wife. Guess I’ll see what they have to say on Saturday.

Good bunch of lads,will help you out,as one of their drivers helped me in the ins and outs of a bread run,about 4 to 5 tips at the same place going back and forth.The boss man has failing eyesight,and you may see him reading with a magnyfying glass.

Didn’t that used to be old Alan from Archbold’s? Seem to recall he had a magnifying glass for reading with too as he was blind as a bat! Top bloke though.
My mate used to be on for (?) at Dewsbury before they were taken over by Gee’s. Money wasn’t brilliant but the work was decent although usually away all week. Dunno what it’s like since Gee’s have taken over as my mate left not long after (had a better job offer near to where he lived).

Do you guys used to know Jimmy Gilespie of JEG International Ltd,he did France and Spain/Portugal,had his own tile depot in Onda near Valencia,good lad,Irish man,had a Golden Retriever that was a bit dodgy biting wise when entering the office,and a really good looking young wife,some people have all the luck,John ran the office for a while,he lived in an old caravan,they dont trade as JEG,now finished.
Do you know Rob Wood,he still does Spain,groupage out,onions in,for the fruit and veg markets,some DAF super space cabs and a black scania with a black trailer.
Gee"s mmmmmh, used to go to school with andy, you will do your hours make no mistake, you wont pull the wool over his eyes make no mistake he is sharper than sharp is andy,
if you work a 15hr shift you will get 1.5hrs deducted for you 2 x 3/4 breaks used to anyway, cant see it changing either,
dont no the hour rates sorry will be average for round here, andy is as blind as a bat but he still knows who you are etc, he aint a bad old kid but i grew up with him really,
the old man gee is one arrogant b"tard you are like some thing on the bottom of his shoe,
but gee"s is now in four ownerships gees,hanson and 2 others all have stakes in there, hope that may help,
work wise most is bread products from speedie bake, plus carpets etc, etc
