Gearshift pneumatics

Being a part time (pension booster) driver, always doing agency work, I get into a lot of trucks of varying quality.
I’ve notice recently some have a tendency for the gear change to lock up in neutral especially after some quick changes. Is this something do to with using up a lot of air?
Mercedes seem more prone to the problem.

Ive found mercs a problem too, their trucks are just all round ■■■■, espcially the Back-Sore-Axor!!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :grimacing:

I had a Merc once that needed all those pipes above the bellhousing replacing on the gearbox, thing was stuck in 3rd so i limped it down to the garage, but yes, you cannot hurry changes on them, they’re soft as ■■■■■

I get this on the Dafs we drive. Flicking the range change once or twice sorts it but I have wondered about this myself. Crap drivers…? :slight_smile:
