Gas cookers regulators

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what sort of stuff I would need to run a double burner with a grill ? I don’t have a clue about regulators etc just been told I would need to buy hose/regulator/gas bottle and that’s it ? Would I use a certain type of gas? How would I connect it all up safely , and would it be best to disconnect once the food is cooked so there would be no leaks etc? Also best place(s) to get this stuff from. Cheers

If you have a blue bottle get a blue regulator. If your bottle’s red…have a guess. The only difference is freezing point and both will run a cooker adequarely unless you’re outside. Can’t remember which is the one best for outdoor use, think it’s red but I’m not 100%.
Nothing complicated about it really.

Cheers mate , I think red is propane and blue butane , just looking at buying a double burner and wasn’t too sure how to go about getting the correct things and setting it up etc. do you just buy another bottle when empty or get it refilled? As you can guess I’ve never botherd with bottles before lol

Best getting butane (red) bottles it cheaper ,ive got butane last me 3/4months and iam away all week ,run kettle and cooking so always on ,I paid 10pounds on southmins for 4 of those small cooker one so once set up you will save.

Buying bottles is like a deposit thing. When you start you buy the bottle unless you can blag an empty form someone or somewhere.
After that in order to buy one you take your empty and swap it for a full one.

I have a blue bottle with a blue regulator. I disconnect the bottle after I use the cooker and store both outside the cab (side locker)

Red is the best for outdoor but also smell something horrific

Blue = Butane
Red = Propane

Can’t beat two burners and a grill for in cab cooking
