As a Newcastle Utd fan I was shocked to hear that Gary Speed has been found dead, apparently hanged, at his home today.
A cracking player who continued playing well into his 30s.

I had never heard of him but it was all over my facebook this morning so I had to search Google, only 42
A very sad day.Watched him on football focus yesterday lunchtime.He had a big future after a distinguished career.Sadly he must have had other problems RIP Gary Speed .

Bit of a selfish ■■■■ hanging himslef in his own house not a very nice present for his kids with the holidays coming up soon.
He might have been an excellent footballer but he was a ■■■■■■■ selfish parent.
Bit harsh, sadly I agree. I suffered from depression for years. It was only my kids that kept me going. 
The vultures are out already with stories of a 3 letter tabloid suggesting he was gay, instead they have got a different headline today!
