Garmin Sat Nav

Bought a garmin sat nav a couple of weeks ago, I loaded maps of france into it, when i try to put in a location say in france it comes up not enough memory to calculate, am i doing something wrong or is this normal. Maybe i need to be airly close to destination for to work. Funnily if i take out the card and put in say paris, it works.

I have the Garmin c510, and used it for france etc etc, One thing i noticed was i had to programme it when i was in france or to the nearest road ■■? Anyone else found this a problem?

And if you look at your Garmin it has a spanner symbol on the bottom ? Press that then press the MAP box, Then when you look at the bottom of the screen you should see a little box that says MAP INFO, Press that, then you will se a list of the maps your unit has on it ■■? if you have METRO GUIDE EUROPE press the box and a Tick sign will appear■■? Make sure your other boxes are blank. then press Back sign and then back to the beginning, and then all should be fine… hope this helps

Its a garmin 310, the menus seem to be different, having a try at that and see how it goes.
