Busted!!!

thats why i asked the question about posting them,if its illegal then i will not post them. they do seem to be available on the internet freely tho.

if you got them from a torrent site they are most likey ahem… may not be very accutate ahem…

someone sent them to me ,no worries i won,t post them. don’t know why tho if they are available in the public domain, the info seems to be available alot of places. doesn’t the goverment own the cameras and the usa own the sats which pinpoint them. just asking as i’m curious

it depend which database you using if its the pgpsw one then thsite or owners of the site that own the database as it all comes down to the format and codeing of the database and the way its presented also just converting the database and moving cameras a couple of feet wont change the copywrite of the database as the base footprint will still be there

interesting conversation this, good to chat and learn, many thanks

The versions of the Speedcam database PRIOR to it going to a subscription based service are public domain and freely available.

BUT, WHY NOT PAY? It’s only a couple of quid and you don’t need to update every month - once every two to three months is enough.

im not against paying at all,i never said i was

Where did the site get the information from on the position of the speedcams from in the first place?

Was it members who sent them in or did the owners actually do the research themselves?

If it was the later then yea don’t mind paying ( ok yea I do but thats cos I’m a yorkshireman with a Scotch and Jewish parent)

But if they built the data base up from free donations from site members and members of the public :imp:

then screw em and post it on lime wire :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

click the link in my signiture theres a 40 odd page thread mainly ranting but yes the base was set up by the site

Just post them, gezt. :sunglasses:

Alix is all hot air.

dont wanna get any greif of anyone so i will hang on a bit. thanks for info anyway
