So I’ve invested in a Garmin Dezl1020 and am busy personalising. Not sure if it’s me but I can’t get my head around how it handles POIs.
I’ve been to the BP website and they had a selection of files for me to download regarding their stations.
- TomTom all.
- TomTom Bunker sites only.
- Garmin all.
I wanted Garmin bunker sites only so I downloaded the TomTom one and used Conversion | MyGeodata Converter | MyGeodata Cloud to convert from ov2 to the gcx format that Garmin require. Then I backed up the device with Garmin Express and used the official Garmin POILoader to transfer the file(s) to my device.
Am I right in thinking that I should now see these BP stations on my map at all times?
Another question whilst there if you’d all be so kind.
EVERY time I start the device it asks me what vehicle type I’m in. Is there not a way to make it remember?
