Officers investigating a collision where a 30-year-old man was killed have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to.
Gary Wood from Blackburn was killed on Saturday 29 March 2014 when he was in a collision on the M61 between Rivington North Services and Junction 6 at about 11.20pm.
It is not known why Gary came to be walking on the motorway.
Gary had been to a Tinie Tempah concert at the O2 Apollo in Manchester earlier that evening. Police have now released an image of a woman who was talking to Gary in the outside smoking area at around 10.15pm, an hour before the collision.
Sergeant Lee Westhead from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “I would ask the woman to make contact as she may have information that will help us establish Gary’s movements after leaving the concert.
“I must stress that the woman is not in any trouble, we would just like to speak to her.
“We would also like to speak to anyone else who saw or spoke to Gary that night.”
