Fuss over same sex marriages in Scotland

raymundo:
Come on now Guys (& gals) kiss and try to make up. I never posted in the first place for it degenerate into a farce of name calling and threats. In my opinion being gay is not normal and never could be 'cos if back door bashing was natures way then the female ■■■ would have evolved two ■■■■ orifices instead of just one. Its supposed to be a free society and if being gay is your thing fair enough, but getting married in a church … that can’t be right.

Which I think was answered very tactfully on the very first page without any mention of ■■■■■■ preference. That came later from Harry

switchlogic:
Just for the record I think civil partnerships are fine. If the word marriage is so intrinsically linked to religion then you can keep it, who’d want to be associated with an institution run by power crazed fanatics based on a book of fairy stories?

so youve never watched 2 women riding the hell out of each other?

Is a great way of putting it and is what I meant in polite terms. It’s wrong and not right i will never agree to it but if your thing then whatever etc etc etc that’s cleared it up. As stated in my earlier post before someone got the hump its wrong to get married

Yes, few times at the Reeperbahm Hamburg (behind the green gates). Maybe nice to watch but not ‘normal’ if any thing is in this so called enlightened age. You are showing your pervy side
See by you avatar that you may like a bit of back/front door shuffle

What’s this obsession with the word normal? How are you defining normal? If normal is the majority then no its not normal, but then nor is truck driving by that definition. Like I said at the very beginning I couldn’t care less about marriage, let the religious nutcases keep it. Civil partnerships are a great modern improvement in my opinion. So normal, me? No not at all. But then I never want to be. Nothing is more boring than normal and conforming to stereotypes. ONWARD

Maybe I should have said … natural.
Do what ever you want in life as long ad no-one gets hurt then it’s OK I suppose.

Ok but then what is natural? Nobody chooses to be gay, why would they. I knew I was different before I even really knew what ■■■ was. Its not something I chose, wanted or can change. That’s not to say im not perfectly happy being gay. I most certainly am and I glad now I am. But when your 13 its not something you want to be. Homosexuality is also found in many mammals. And its been around thousands of years. So its pretty natural in my opinion. Reproduction isn’t a requirement for something to be natural.

Luke, let me spell this out to you in words of one and two syllables.

Nobody gives a monkey’s who you are in bed with when you have your ■■■■■■.

Now, will you please, please, please stop banging on and on and on about your ■■■■■■■■■. We’ve got the message.

Switchlogic 1 Pathetic bigots 0 .

Its got to be an unhappy life for someone to carry all that hate around.

Well done to you Luke for putting up with it.

I personally couldn’t care less - if two people want to make a commitment to each other, whatever the mix of genders, let them do it how they choose. Why should a marriage be limited to a heterosexual relationship?

When I married my wife, we had the choice of a church wedding or a register office. Surely that choice should be available to everybody?

Typical apathetic response so prevalent to society in the UK nowadays.Maybe if the likes of you started giving a toss to what’s happening in your own country the place wouldn’t have been over run by the PC brigade and be on it’s arse as a result.
Luke, give it a break mate. Not doing yourself any favours and it’s becoming a tad tedious :sunglasses:

Go away you sad man the grown ups are talking. Why do you keep coming back to this topic with the same tired old comments that I’ve answered time and again? Go away and bug someone else, this is a post about homosexuality and I’m putting my view across, which is more than can be said for your pointless
unconstructive posts.

For someone who spends his entire life on this forum your sure do seem to struggle with the basic concept of what a forum is about. You clearly dont like reading about gay people so why do you keep returning to a topic with gay in the title you strange man?

P.s do you know what syllables means? Doesn’t look like you do.

Luke, give it a break mate. Not doing yourself any favours and it’s becoming a tad tedious :sunglasses:

Well I wouldn’t want to upset you now would I by making you read comments you dont agree with. For me the hate and bigotry on this topic is getting a tad tedious, ‘mate’.

Forgetting the pointless insults between me a Keebs the reason I continued to post was to debate perfectly reasonable points with Raymondo. He made sensible posts and comments and he is of course entitled to his opinion, as I am mine. Despite what geriatric Harry says I dont go ‘on and on’ about my ■■■■■■■■■ and bring it in to ‘every arguement’. As I said to him earlier I only ever bring it up on posts concerning homosexuality, and even then not always. After all on this topic it was Harry and his massive chip on his shoulder that brought my own personal ■■■■■■■■■ up before me. Going by his reasoning none of us should comment on posts where we can bring real world experience. On the plus side that means we wouldn’t have to listen to him drone on about being his own boss and an owner driver anymore. No ones interested Harry (well I imagine someone is  )

I have never started a topic about homosexuality on this forum. I’ve never brought it up in topics not about homosexuality, although some have done this trying to bring me down. the reason I’m here now and putting my point across on this topic is because bigotory stems from ignorance. People are scared of what they dont understand, which is understandable. So i want to help those that will listen to understand. Lots dont want to listen or to understand but there are plenty of people out there who may be homophobic who will listen, and may change their views. This is why I explained what I think nature is. To make clear that no one chooses to be gay, its not a ‘lifestyle’ choice made just to ■■■■ you off. I was lucky I had an easy time growing up, but many gay kids go through hell, years of hell because of their ■■■■■■■■■. Many will even kill themselves. Many more have a lifetime of emotional problems afterward to deal with. Nobody chooses it, it his what we are, like having blue eyes or blond hair. So when people call us disgusting or tell us that they hate us for no reason other than ignorance it can hurt, not me I couldn’t care less what you lot think about me but many do. And think of a gay child who gets bullied at school, how must they feel when they see grown Ups saying the same hateful things? Often the very grown up that is suppose to look after and protect them. So if talking about my own personal life and ■■■■■■■■■ can start to dispel some of the myths and hate that people perpotrate then that’s great and that’s my aim. If you understand it and understand why people are gay then you cant hate homosexuality. Maybe your religious and will never agree, ok fine I can understand that, all im asking is to tone down the hate and the derogatory language. And if you understand the issue then there’s no reason you can’t.

Being gay is not easy, from childhood to death it brings up problems. I’ve a friend who’s parents chucked him out at 18 for being gay and burnt his magazines in the garden. He went through hell. Some gay people after a childhood being bullied get buillied at work too, or they have to hide it for fear of bullying. A gay person doesn’t come out once. They have to do it over and over and over again throughout their lives. Its not easy trust me. The more of us are visable though the more things can change. The reason I make it known is because im just another lorry driver doing a job, same as a gay forklift driver, gay doctor, gay office worker etc etc. And normal people doing normal things living normal lives is what is going to change people opinions, not the stereotypes like Graham Norton (not that there’s anything wrong with that either). Normal everyday people change the world and the more people that ‘come out’ and talk about it in a sensible reasoned way the more attitudes will change. Until then you dont know who your hurting with your hateful comments and homophobic jokes. That bloke you work with who you like a bit of banter with may be laughing on the outside at these ‘jokes’ but could be crying on the inside. Because trust me, it can hurt.

So I’m sorry Harry, your the one with a problem, you keep returning to a topic with gay in the title to have a go at me. Im talking about homosexuality in a thread about homosexuality. Im on topic, are you? And I won’t stop answering peoples comments and questions, its what this forum is for. You seem to have a problem with gay people so I suggest you beat not come back here again as there is nothing to interest apart from scoring (well trying) cheap points against me. Gay people hiding and staying quiet is not the answer. We need to put our views and comments across in a reasonable and adult manner and let people make up their own minds on the subject. So Harry and Flat to the Mat I’m sorry you only want to read comments from people you agree with but I’m not going away. And I’ll be back the next time someone starts a thread about this issue and the bigot come out to play.

(Sorry if the grammar and spelling isn’t all that, I wrote it on my phone which was quite difficult on such a long post)

Have a great day all.

Right - so according to you, I should stick my unwanted opinions in on something which doesn’t concern me, has no impact on my life or anybody else’s, apart from the people who want to get married? Just how small-minded do you think I should be? On that note, when I drove home yesterday, I saw a coloured person driving a red Micra driving like an arse. Going with this, who should I now direct my hatred to - all coloured people, all Micra drivers, or all red car drivers, ar a mix of all 3? Sounds silly, but no more silly than writing off an entire group of people just because you don’t like the fact that they’d rather sleep with somebody of their own gender?

If you seriously think that gay people are the reason that the country is on its knees, you may need to think about seeing somebody in a professional capacity. If more people learned to live and let live, and keep their unwanted noses out of other people’s business - meaning everybody from over-zealous H&S staff up to the ‘movers & shakers’ of this country, maybe the prevalent little-man syndrome might start to die out.

From reading this thread, it seems apparent that it’s fine for a self-confessed violent bigot to drone on with his hate-filled poison against Luke, but if Luke responds, he gets accused of ramming his ■■■■■■■■■ down everybody’s throats. And people wonder why the general public think all lorry drivers are knuckle-dragging numpties? Sheesh!

I have only one ‘test’ which I apply to people - are they an ■■■■■■■■ or are they OK? If an ■■■■■■■■, then it doesn’t matter what colour, creed, ■■■■■■■■■, race, nationality etc etc etc they are, I don’t want to spend any time with them. If they’re OK, they’re OK. Looking back over this thread alone, I can form opinions of most of the participants as to which column I’d put them in - maybe unfair, but if I was looking to go down the pub with somebody off of here, would I choose the violent immature bigot who likes to resolve issues by hitting people, or the gay man who can hold an intelligent conversation? Luke, you’re buying!

Sorry if I ■■■■ people off, but tough ■■■■ - I’m not going to worry about the feelings of people who are trying to blame all the country’s problems on gay marriage!

Another one who twists things I see, like I said earlier I only get ■■■■■■ off when people give insulting remarks back. All I said was its wrong it’s sick and marriage certainly ain’t right, then I got all this you know nothing crap. Let’s be honest there’s not alot to know. Luke has had his opinion and I have had mine we both are very different people and will never agree so leave it at that. And to set your record straight I do not go down the pub beating the crap out of people I go to have a laugh with my many mates and play a game of pool and watch football

Is this a thread about gay marriage or turning fridges off at night?
