Furthest North East South or West

This is one for those who travel a bit further than the rest of us.
Who can claim to have driven the furthest from the UK North, East, South or West?
I know of claims of the Chinese border, i know Astran have done trips to Oman, i know of those who have been to Morocco and beyond and i do believe there was a Renault Magnum race truck that went across the USA.

Stake your claim…Destination, Company, Rough Date and Truck.
No fakers or wishers just those who have really done it please.

The furthest east I’ve been to was Togliatti which is around 1000km past Moscow but I think the furthest anyone went was Irkutsk which is about 5000km past Moscow which was IIRC 2800km from London, mid 1990’s when I was on for Kepstowe Freight Services.

Furthest north is almost to the 61st parallel, furthest south would be the 28th…

Lowestoft

Taxi…

I met once guy on the ferry who went on the road to South Korea. He was hauling something extremally marine pollutant or whatever, therefore they had to avoid getting on the ferry as much as possible. They shipped him only that bit to skip North Korea.

he showed me some pics… That was interesting.

But he was Polish, working for Polish company.

Sorry Mr 141 I haven’t really done it,but I was there.Anyone remember the red and black Mercedes coach that the passengers slept in? I seem to remember it also pulled a trailer. There were a few I think.Reg No’s began with PA PA (German).I was in Las Vegas on holiday in the '70s and was staggered to see one of these along the strip. Was it called something like Das Rollende Hotel?

The Guys who took the Magnum out to the USA i know, or did know pretty well… John Smith(Skip), Graham Miller and Colin Pendle. I used to work for them in a garage back in 1993-1995…

Here is a link to the article of the whole weeked in the states, including the aggro in shipping the Magnum out there…

Those guys win the furthest west for sure, but they didn’t do much driving to get there, assuming they docked at Elizabeth NJ, Cleveland OH is only a 450 mile run along I-80, I’m sure it was a total PITA to organise but it’s not proper trucking.

One of our blokes took a load to Tenerife a couple of years back.

well i can beat the lot of you. i go to outer space and back every week, i must do for some of the drivers i work with are not from this this [zb] planet.

Just had to check this out on auto route.

North - Lulea Sweden 2 pallets of generator bits in a Sprinter.
East - believe it or not Talinn removals job “” “”
South - Bari to catch a ferry to Albania with satallite dishes in said Sprinter
West - Algarve removals job. “” “”

It has surprised me that Bari is more southern than Tirana and Talinn further east but there we go.

Good God Sir + :open_mouth: , Das Rolladen Hotel from I.I.R.C. Paderborn ( or was it Pfarendorf or somthing  ). Red and Black Mercedes buses pulling a trailer which could only be described as a series of coffins stacked up which the passengers slept in after crawling into them from the side. If you can imagine a pigeon carrier where all the boxes are about three feet wide then that was the accomodation and the kitchen was also on the trailer. They used to run from West Germany overland to Cape Town and that most of the passengers were Germans or Austrian’s with a couple of them being well into their sixties and I remember one of the passengers telling me that one old person had already died on the trip .The company must of been going for some time as I remember seeing one in Algeria in 1975, a couple of them in Turkey in the eighties and one in Windhoek, South West Africa in 1990.
