Fuller convertion RTO 9 to RTO13

Hey, Are there here men who have already converted a 9 speed to an 13 speed. An RTO909A to change.
To become an double overdrive because of slow geared double drive, so want to make an RTOO 9(5)09 A
I let tell me that you need a special headshaft gearwheel to couples it together, who knows more ■■?
And inside and outside coarse or fine toothing or inside and outside different toothing ■■
On the pics can someone show me which one is to change ■■
And would it be possible to use an RTO116 instead of an RTO95 overdrive ■■?
I saw that the numbers 5 an 6 have to do with the coarse or fine toothing ■■?
Because I want to be sure before ordering one, hopefully to get new today because of the age of the boxes.

Thanks in advance,

Eric,

Eric…Robert1952 is counting his eggs now for some time but I think he might be
of assistance as I gave him a Fuller-manual with more background, perhaps it deals
with some description and way to work.

we converted 2 foden 8 wheelers from a 9 to a 13 i thought it was an easy job to fit. You cant do nothing with this modern crap just plug it in change the part.

Hey, this thread may be cleard up, question is solved.

Eric,

I ‘Googled’ this some time ago, but all I could find was this:

Convertible 9 to 13
Efficiency, Performance and Maximum Trade-In Value
Turning your reliable 9-speed into a Fuller 13-speed transmission for performance and reliability with an inexpensive conversion kit before trade-in will increase your truck’s worth by $3,000 or more over similar truck equipped with a 10-speed. In addition, a truck equipped with a 13-speed will sell about twice as fast as one equipped with a 10-speed transmission.

A lot of the big US fleets spec the convertible 9/13spd boxes, they run them as 9spd and sell them as 13spd.

I belive all the oily bits are fitted, they just need a new gear knob and some pipework, it’s a few hundred bucks for the conversion kit to the best of my knowledge.

hey Robert and Newmecman, thanks for the info. The problem we hed was to find the gearwheel to match between the 9 and 13, because it was still a RTO 909 A and still not the 9509.
Now we have the RTOO 913 A.
We cleaned up an old Fuller expert’s cellar, it felt like beeing in a wine-vault, so both satisfied.

Eric,

Goed zo! You probably have the only RT00 913 in the universe! Robert

@Tiptop/Eric, Top job in the end!

By the way…clean up of a cellar…is there by any chance also
documentation available? Particularly on the service- and dealer-
network?

Buzze geven en groet,
