That’s opening the worms can up for 8 plus pages.
Wouldn’t bother with Maritime if you want 2-4am starts & an early finish.

as long as im back before 5pm im absolutely fine
Are Maritime now considered the place nobody wants to work? Have they pushed Stobbies off the top spot? Who is coming up hard on the rails?
Never worked there, never will (not having a driver facing camera), the green death seem to be spoken of fairly well by most ex drivers, the other lot i’ve never heard a single good word said by ex’s, and i don’t mean here i mean face to face with people i work with and have worked beside for competing outfits, Stobbies seem to be held in quite high esteem because they gave new drivers their first chances and didn’t push them to breaking point.
One really nice young bloke i see now and again who works for a competitor (he has a real dead mans shoes job), got his licence through stobbies via their young apprentice scheme, stayed there for a couple of years then at age 22/3 landed a job most of us would never get or at the very least be later middle aged and got the job through contacts and still need the luck of the devil to land, he always speaks well of stobby and appreciates what they did for him.
Lucky young sod but he appreciates what he’s got.
depends what sort of work you want
you got sainsburys on swan valley
wickes on brakmills, john lewis, asda Rogers transport if you fancy some euro work
then if you hop into your car and go up the road you got crick with tescos stobards hermes Dx post office
or head south you got Milton Keynes
east primark budgens knights of old, argos etc etc
Think you can say you got a fair choice of work!

It probably won’t be for you. Alarm bells always start ringing for me when I hear of guys applying for general haulage jobs wanting to be home for teatime, it’s a one way ticket to disapointment & stress.
I’d look for early morning fridge or store delivery work.

Sainsbury would probably be your best bet
If you like very early start, no more than 12hrs and take home over 2k every 4weeks and dont mind working half of weekends of the year, aply for job through Wincanton website (sainsburys contract)…they always looking for drivers who like odd start time…
Easiest job in the world…crapy Actros units tho…
