you had enough already harry?

I’ve not had enough of running a truck, I’ve just had enough of truck driving in general. I’ve watched virtually all of the continental work disappear over the last ten years, that was the only real reason I did the job in the first place. I’m more and more fed up with the 'elf 'n safety nonsense and the over-regulation that goes with the job, the ever-increasing traffic, I have just had enough of the whole thing really.

For twenty years I’ve wanted to live on a narrowboat and spend the rest of my days pottering around the canal network, for the last two years I’ve been planning it. I originally intended to do this in 2016, then it became 2015, and then two weeks ago I actually bought one. I might carry on running the truck for one more year, I might not, I’m just weighing up all of the options at the moment.

Here she is, isn’t she a sweetie? :stuck_out_tongue:

'Kin el H, he’s a Jedder!

I’ve a few pals that live on narrow boats & they absolutely love it.

Spot on about the traffic & the health & safety BS. I still love the driving but sometimes just sometimes…

Monarch came up trumps so loading today!

Thanks for all your help guys.

Go on Jazzandy, spill the beans, how much?

If your sellin your lorry and everything Harry can u include the one thing every new starter like me wants to buy but can’t -experience

Don’t know you on a personal front, only through reading your comments on this site, but good luck in the future whatever you end up doing Harry Monk. The boat retirement idea sounds peaceful, chilled out and quiet unlike todays roads.
