Had about 400L taken on 16.10.13 Audley Avenue, Newport, Shrops, next to Country Wide, plenty of street lights and other trucks about.
So watch out if you park on there.
Thanks for that
Cheers mate.
Thanks for the heads up. That’s one of my regular spots.
And mine, have stopped there before,
Can I just ask, why drivers fill up their tanks shortly before they go and park up for the night in a lay-by or on an industrial estate, then come on here moaning because they have had all their diesel drained whilst they are sleeping?
I didn’t get the impression that the OP is moaning. And even if he was, owning something is no reason why you should be sanguine about having it nicked.

Was just pointing out that some drivers just don’t help them selves or their company out on the road! I did not at any point direct it at the OP.
You can see why an independent observer might have gone away with the impression it was aimed at the OP, though …
I thought it was as well, but I only read the post
Wot is ‘sanguine’ is it a type of ‘‘whine’’ ?

Yes, possibly.
So you only put half a tank in at the start of every shift? That would get old.

Only half old !!!

Sanguine: optimistic or positive, especially in an apparently bad or difficult situation
So there you are.

No. Just enough to last!

I didn’t read that he had just fuelled up and 400ltrs is not even half a tank on mine it takes a 1000.

How observant of you! Your obviously non standard.

Perhaps he had just started his week or refuelled in his yard where the diesel would be cheaper. I start the week with 1400l as this means I don’t have to refill until I return to Ireland but if it is stolen using your logic it is my fault, surely it would be better to see the authorities mounting a campaign against diesel theft using the money they have made during the day from one of their headline operations of 200 reckless drivers caught breaking the law yet when the figures are broken very few of these reckless drivers were endangering the public. Still better to keep the Daily Mail happy rather than targeting what is in some cases organised crime.

Plans change for one thing. Your logic suggests that i should not spend money on home furnishings cus i will be away all week.
The OP was giving a heads up for that some of us are grateful.
