Fuel/safe driving bonus tips please

Eric Rambler:
If you are driving different trucks each day, don’t"brim" the tank at the end of shift. Leave a 2 inch gap. That way when tomorrow’s driver fills up you’ll get a few mpg on them.

There’s some at our place that do that, I drove 128 km’s the other day and put 85 lts in it.

Yeah, good advice. Get brown nosing and make your workmates look [zb].

FFS.

Our telematics system knows who the driver is

Gently gently on the gas pedal when. Accelerating , no foot wedged to the floor stuff ! (Asha’s been said use of retarder , eco roll , cruise control etc )
I no longer get a fuel bonus but still drive the same way …
I’m paid by the hour

In the Actros you can manually gear up to keep in green band, prevent over revving and get better MPG.

Question - cc restore button, does it work like foot down or is it a clever one?

I don’t know about new trucks but with older ones you’re meant to use the pedal upto about 5mph under and then press “Res” or the engine will thrash itself to get upto speed.
