managers and accountants love cruise control and auto gearboxes as they create an average fuel consumption for a fleet . They will make a poor driver ( one getting poor mpg ) good by bringing them “up” to the average . On the flip side they will bring a excellent driver ( getting good mpg ) down to an average . Give the "poor " drivers the auto boxes and a "company driving policy "and they will return an avreage figure .
