Just recently I was told that for tipper firms, they average around 50% of turnover on fuel - that being it’s a 50/50 ratio.
Obviously, 25% of fuel is VAT and can be claimed back. Still, I wonder if there are any other ways to lower one’s fuel bills if running your own business?

Thanks,

You would only be allowed to claim the vat back on the fuel, which would be less than 25% .
Apart from keeping the fuel system clean and driving normally I don’t know what else you can do with a tipper to reduce costs - unless you know a Romanian, they usually have a load of the stuff going spare.
