to be a Esso station. Silly question i know but there not many Esso stations around on motorways.

Not at any petrol station just Esso ,and i think Shell.We used to have shell cards which could be used at esso stations

Esso stations do seem to be a bit thin on the ground, you mainly find them
on “A” road services and in towns.
I think they are even more sparse down the South West and in Scotland.
Might have to drop the trailer outside first if the canopy is low or access a bit tight.
Fuel bunkering cards are issued by the company you have an account with. In your case Esso.
You get a your fuel at a discounted rate at Esso stations. If you use your card at any other brands fuel station, you pay pump prices for the fuel you draw.
You need to ask your boss about where else you can fill up. And as Esso sites seem to be a bit thin on the ground, you want a site directory booklet. Then you’ll be able to plan when to fill up.
