I don’t think simply applying for a fuel card should affect your credit rating, after all you are going to study the ■■■■■■■■, ask which is the best type for your operation and find out where the stations are before you commit.
The reason that you are getting all the extra post is because the fuel companies and truck dealers buy the Applications and Decisions from VOSA, so they are trying to get your business.
I would compare a fuel card to a store card. You don’t really want a Harvey Nicks card when you can have a Clubcard
If you return the fuel card aplication forms you WILL be credit searched as an individual as a director of a limited company or a sole trader, also your limited company will be assessed too, at the end of the day an offer of a credit facility for fuel is the same as an offer of credit just like a tv from comet…

What I meant was that you should do the research from TNUK here before applying, Denis F and others can tell you who to avoid.
Sorry Shuttle. I thought they had to pay for the A&D information.
MRC:
Yes you do get credit checked and a lot of credit checks in a short period of time will flag up as looking fraudulent so be careful. We’ve had 2 in the space of a week like this so be very careful
Good advice.New starters beaware.
looks like fuel cards are almost a no go at the mo for new starters would you say credit cards are a better way to go or would paying the pump price be to expensive in comparision to fuel cards
