FTA or RHA

Whats it all about? Are they the same people? Do they do anything for drivers is it just a operator thing.

look at their websites
FTA mainly own account companies
RHA mainly hire and reward

their only interet in drivers is how little the members pay them
they dont seem to be doing much for their own membership
either as i dont think they are ever used as a
‘rent a quote’ by the Beeb or Sky

Jobs for the boys and junkets for the members mainly.

No

No.

Yeah, but they don’t really do much for them. Especially in the case of the RHA who, in my experience from making the mistake of being a member in the past, specialise in distributing information to members which is often incorrect or sometimes just rehashed urban myths. :imp: :smiling_imp:

The main, and probably, the only reason Bewick Transport was a member of the RHA was for one reason, the RHA conditions of carriage and warehousing were tried and tested in court and acknowledged to be the “benchmark” of the industry. They did,on one occaision, help us avoid a loss of circa £100k.Other than the reason I’ve stated I found that membership was of no real value,as a member of the RHA regional commitee I came into contact with the politicians holding the Transport brief and the impact the RHA had upon them was,I’m sad to say, negligable at best and nil at worst.Bewick.
