Was on a site today and the skip truck driver got himself in a bit of a pickle and asked a fella with the digger to pull him out…they were struggling to find the hook up point, I took a look (being a nosey s0d) expecting to see a proper towing eye, but nothing. Everything looked to be flimsy. They put a hook round the front spring hanger to give it a ■■■■■■.
Don’t they fit proper towing eyes these days?
You remove the small piece of the grill below the bonnet flap. There are two sets of holes to put a towing pin through, one each side.
The pin should be in the tool kit in the cab.
This diagram shows the location of the two sets of towing eyes under the grill. That’s from the guide for the Euro 6 LF, buts it’s basically the same on the older version.

Thanks for that!
I’ll post this pic to the driver…maybe he should become familiar with his drivers manual

If it’s not been removed by anyone yet!
