good afternoon. Can anyone give me an idea of the running costs for a fridge trailer ( the fuel and maint costs for the fridge unit).
Also can anyone recommend a rental company? Im enquiring round the bigger firms but they dont give the impression they are interested in owner drivers

If you’re wanting a fridge and has little knowledge on running, the best bet is to rent whilst you build up knowledge of the market and running costs, also if the work dries up you can always exchange it for eg. a tautliner or flat depending on what the next job requires. A local independant fridge repair specialist should be able to give you some idea’s too. Check out the service history with whoever has been servicing it in the past. It’s similar to buying a car or a truck, the engine need servicing every so many hours. History is a must.
the company i work for get thiers from dawsons and they seem quite reasonable, but i think there is something about O/D’s and seeing yoru books, to make sure you have th emoney/income to pay for it for as long as you need it (or at least they do for units) but our company wouldnt use expensive places if there is somewhere that it is £20 cheaper!
