Hi all
just a quick question does anyone know where the diesel filler cap is on both thermo king and carrier fridge trailers? am new to fridge work

Normally there is a belly tank on the trailer. Usually a filler cap on either side. Dependant on trailer manufacturer.
Behind the legs, you will see the tank, the filler is behind the underrun bars… Could be on one side or the other or even both sides

I didnt and ran from Murcia to Teruel (slept) to Zaragoza found a Maguires driver with a fridge 
:idea::idea: (with his help it still wouldn’t fire up) then to Bordeaux to the engineer, he got it running but the load was eventually refused back in blighty…not surprising really…

When I passed my test, I had a few contacts who needed relief drivers at the weekend, so I would cover the odd Sunday on a fridge trailer. The regular driver ‘Always’ made sure that the tank was full !!! (Nobody showed/advised me on how to fill it or even what the codes for the pump were)
So imagine my surprise when I got to the yard one Sunday & the fridge wouldn’t fire up, I checked the tank & the Bum Hole had only ran it dry !!! So I rang the boss/Ron, who told me to put road diesel in it (because I didn’t have access to the red diesel) then I didn’t know how to bleed it ! Ron wasn’t too happy when he turned up at 07.00 to bleed it ! LOL !
My brother in law used to collect a load of milk & juice on a Friday night then switch the fridge off until Sunday morning.!!! Don’t think you’d get away with that these days !
