Fridge Loads ex Italy

witty:
Albini & Pitigliani. Good place for loading groupage to get you home. Prato is a good night out on the booze if you fancy it.

Check the women’s Adam’s apples!

Anyone got any idea who is paying a decent rate from Italy back to the UK for a fridge trailer?

Have a word with Neville, he must know the score

The thing to do at this time of the year use to be to load from Italy over to Spain where the citrus season has now started. Use to be a lot of work from either the Ancona area or more north around Cuneo. We use to have direct contacts but the dutch forwarders use to deal with a lot of it. Now that the peaches have finished there won’t be a lot coming back to the UK from Italy.

Solstor

I used to load for Alpi in Milan and Prato, shoes and designer clothes. I dont know what the rate was though as was a paye driver and it was quite a few years ago on European of Dover.
During the summer it was always plants from Prato Pistoia area for Classiflora in Enfield.
Pizza bases and fresh pasta were other loads from around the Turin area.

That’s how I used to do it, Kiwi from Savonna over to Madrid and then down to Murcia for Citrus.

It’s been a while since I did it, but if you want direct loads to the UK, try the fruit and veg importers rather than transport companies, Solstor are both, their rates ain’t the best, but they pay up and pay up on time too

Or forget about turning the fridge on and get a load of shoes out of Verona :bulb:

Banisters from Evesham have some work from Italy I dont know any details or even if they are giving loads away but may be worth a call. :sunglasses:

When I was pulling for Eurotrans, we were backloading spuds out of Bari / Barletta this time of year

Firm I used to work for sent us from France into Ferero at Alba for loads back to the UK.
Whart the rate is I have no idea, but it can’t be that bad to run from France.
