Friday night M5 accident

Jeez…Look at that Merc under that unit! :open_mouth:

I dare say that the view from behind is even worse and where most of the damage and casualtys happened.

Agreed…poor sods. :frowning:

Poor souls
There but for the grace of god and all that.

Sky have just said peoples burnt remains are still in some of the cars

Heart goes out to everyone involved :frowning:

i agree my comments were way out of order and im sorry i take them back.

Pleased to hear that, I know the full facts of the accident… NO I’ll call it a crash as it my not have been caused by accident were not known when you posted.

that is the long and short of it, when i posted my comment the full extent of the crash was not known as that was reported was a crash on the M5, as i has just got home after a dreadful journey from south wales after being out since last sunday my temper was a little frayed at the edges with peoples efforts at driving in the rain and traffic.

ive got up this morning and seen the sky news footage and im horrified at the scenes and have deleted my original comment on page 1.

Just a small comment on the side:

We all use words, and sometimes we don’t realise the power of them, or the impact they may cause.
Any of us who talks, writes, whispers, and types makes one time a mistake, things are said in the spirit of the moment, without underlying information etc.

As long as we are big enough to stand up and recognise our fault and correct it, no probs
Making faults, wrong comments in life doesn’t make you a bad person, a bad dad, or an idiot.

JD made a wrong comment in the spirit of the moment, and all the keyboard warriors are jumping on it.
This is where the world has come to…no tolerance to nobody.

Think about it next time you shout to somebody ■■■■ off or I run you over and many other comments, do really wish this person bad luck…I wouldn’t like to think so.
Your small comment may hurt somebody, while you think its dead funny that is the power of language to us.

Things are often said in the heat of the moment and I as you heard on the radio of crash on M5 nothing else at first.
Well done for admitting your comment was out of line.

To be fair though that’s something he didn’t think about when he posted the original comment and most of the grief he got was justified at the time. The problem is people have too little sympathy these days. No matter what the traffic the person at the front is having a much worse day.

Heart goes out to all those involved and R.I.P to those who are no longer with us.

Its the thought of people being trapped and burnt alive which is the most chilling. Just absolutely horrific

I’m guilty of saying daft things…Just think before opening yer’ gob next time.

It takes a man to stand up and say “I was wrong”

After 4 pages of JESSICAS DAD’s comment can we get back to the thread?

These multiple pile ups were a regular thing in the 70’s in patchy fog.I would have thought with more matrix signs etc drivers would slow down.A sad time for a lot of families RIP.

There but by the grace of god go I!!!

I was coming home from a wedding in Swindon last night. “fortunatly” we had to stop for fuel.

Why fortunatly■■?
Considering I had Mrs Semtex and Little Semtex in the car, we was stuck for nearly 7 hours in the tailbacks southbound last night. We were actually at the 1/2 mile marker. If we didn’t need fuel, we would have been smack bang ion the middle of that and you may have been giving condolancies to my family.

It was not pleasant watching the fireball less than 1/2 mile up the road and comforting the littl’un who was scared.

My thoughts go to those that were caught in the mess and I am so thankfull for our “lucky” escape

You still next door Semtex?

Finally got home at about 6am this morning

You still at Evans?
