Is there anything that legally says you now have to have them fitted 
Why when you have a idiot mirror do you actually need one , I find it a distraction , 3 mirrors is more than enough to be able to see what’s about on your n/s , just seems overkill to me , or is there something I’m missing
Nb been given a truck with one fitted , asked when I get my truck refitted can they not fit one as I can see all I need too with my present mirrors, told have to have one so I can see cyclists , is it a London requirement . Ta
No legal requirement but I doubt they’ll let you take it off. they conveniently ignore the fact that if cyclists paid attention to the signals of traffic around them then this sort of safety device would be unnecessary.

The wide angle mirror is not adjusted correctly - you don’t need to see the cab in half of it. If it were adjusted correctly they would all have been visible.
So just make sure mirrors are always adjusted for maximum view.

Dozy they are a great asset, I do understand where your coming from though and as long as it’s fitted properly you’ll get use to it.
I’ve only ever driven one shift with one and it really was distracting. Felt I looked at that lense more than I did my mirrors. I didn’t like it at all, would take me a while to get used it (I don’t like change

Lmfbo… You must have a proper gammy eye line to let something in the lens distract you… I have to turn my head to look in the nearside mirror!

Arrived at work last Monday to find the fitter had installed lens to all the fleet over the weekend.
Must have taken hours finding the relevant keys, cleaning the window before installation etc.
Mind you, I would have been more impressed if he hadn’t fitted every one upside down…

if drivers set their remaining six mirrors correctly

I’d hate to have a “London truck” with the unopenable window because someone fitted one of those stupid door windows.
