French coffee is "Eau de merde",horrid stuff

Whats the big deal asking for milky coffee in France, they allways make it with water, and there must be no cows in the country, when ask for more milk,i get the facial expressions from the staff, that i have raped their grand mother,i cant wait to get to the next border, and get a proper coffee, ive tried all over France, and it is the same, with an acidic taste, only fit for a household cleaning fluid.Drama over.Nuff said for now.

Yeah :stuck_out_tongue: …Tobys back!!!

It is Limeyphil

Black coffee doesn’t require milk, Cafe au lait is like asking for ketchup in The Ivy :open_mouth:

Only softies have milk with coffee. :unamused:

the only decent coffee in france is the 1euro crap from the machines in the services, the restaurant stuff is awful nothing like what you get in spain or italy

Cafe Creme is the only thing in France i find even nearly drinkable, why do they find it so difficult to come up with something like a cafe con leche ?. I think the coffee revolution has passed France by. The stuff out of the machines is just disgusting.

Go with tradition!! Cut the milk-put a large brandy in it!

Next time bring own milk!

Nescafe, boiling water and pastyoureyes milk.

As bad as the coffee is in France, it is not as bad as the tea :open_mouth:

I was in Bucarest when they ran out of milk - the whole city- I used to go to the cafe stalls with small carton & share it with the the locals. The next pick-up in another town had ran out of heat( gas/electricty) so I ended up drinking Nescafe mixed with ice cold Coca-Cola in the middle of Winter.

Now that is what i call a caffeine hit!!!

It was a surprize! The weather was freezing ,the coffee stall was in the open doorway of a factory in the sticks & the ‘coffee’ was in an ornate samovar so I was looking forward to anything hot. I asked for coffee & had the milk ready & the girl said they only had ‘American Coffee.’& the rest is history.

They seem to like the Lipton Yellow tea, I found it’s better not to have milk in it. The breakfast blend is normaly similar to what you get in the UK.
