mark h:
tar alex,any more anybody?
no sorry mark, i asked about for the old seddons, erf’s and fodens this morning and nobody has any. they have had a good clearout of the old british rail drivers because they were to slow and only wanted to do 1 job a day, so all the drivers now have been there the most 10 years which puts us on the fm 12’s.

and whats wrong with one job per day !
when it’s leeds to bradford then 1 hr to load then bradford back to leeds and it takes 9 hours.
yes that is what was going on.
hiya mark ive just found these…
top draw them alex were u find them ? my dad used to drive a foden J63 DUL, even the ERF’s had the DUL prefix on the plates, there was around 50 maybe more if am right
the foden fleet were all part of E.F.L (european freight logistics) which were ran by freightliner back in the 90’s any more pics wil be greatly appreciated !!
there is another tha is restin in JMD’s yard in seaforth in the corner that is an old freightliner motor
(it says erf not raf’s pic)
Did’nt EFL/Freightliner have some experimental Detroit-powered Foden’s in the early 90’s??
i think you might be right there straight 8, but i was roughly about 6 years old back then, but i know that they did have a few other fodens than the 1’s in the pic’s (i’e- not part of the DUL prefix) so maybe they were the motors !
Cheers Mark, i’msure someone out there will soon let us know
