I am trying to break out of subcontracting and I intend to use freight exchange websites, can anyone advise me if this is a good path to take and if so which is the best site to use

They can be expensive to use, such as Telnet as you are charged per “view” but was OK when I use to use it.
The Free ones you see on the net are not worth bothering with, either rates are rubbish or you wont get paid.
Coolload for Fridge work is OK but some companies on there all the time offering not very good rates!!!
Do you have anybody who can look for loads for you whilst you are on the road ?
If you havent then the exchange sites prob arent for you as you want to be planning your backload before you leave.
Theres a few about , just make sure you research them thoroughly, ones that charge will have a better database than the ones that done but needless to say they dont guarantee you a load nor payment.
Be careful with all of them as some people take the load and readvertise it at a lower rate!
