I have a basic sky package but fed up paying to watch repeats so thinking of going freesat. Is it worth it and do you just change one box for the other?
It’ll save you the few quid a month you pay for sky but the programmes are the same. But you don’t get the Sky exclusive channels and sky go
There is an option with sky to opt out of a contract and pay a one-off fee to have the same as freesat (saves buying a freesat box) and for a fee I think you can also have sky +.
I’ve got freesat and no complaints. The only channel I can’t get that I want is Dave which is on freeview.
Where I used to live we had freesat, only 20 quid one off cost for a card from sky. They kept trying to tempt me to subscribe by giving me all channels for free for a couple of months at a time.
When you ring up sky and say you want to leave they will probably give you something, maybe free for 6 months. Keep doing this and you’re on a winner.
