I’ve noticed that quite a few lorries park just outside Chieveley services…under the A34…(this is the services near newbury…where the M4 crosses the A34)…which i thought was a good idea…Then the other day I had to do a 9hrs rest…got to Hopwood Services…did a quick trailer swap…though this is a waste of money for 9hrs…so went looking for a layby…Vola!!! :smiley: :smiley: :smiley: …Literally right outside on the road running parallel to the services…heading towards Brum…layby eitherside of the road…there’s even a little pathway leading straight back into the lorry park…

In both cases you’ve got all you need…‘Access to the loo…if ya need a ■■■’…food you can forget about…(unless they have a Waitrose or M&S)…and security…we’ll say no more…

So folks this might be a sticky one…where can you park close range to services…without any bother…

I know you can get a bloody humongous big breakfast in a bun at Telford services if you just walk through the hedge :laughing:

And you can get ratarsed if you park in Washington Services northbound :laughing:

M1 J29 truckstop if your early you can park up on the ind est that loops round it then you can nip in feed yourself then have a quick shower (need to pay) then to finish up with a pint in the bar sounds good to me :laughing: :laughing:

Exeter Services, Walk from the lorry park, past the services building and the petrol station to the travelodge. Next door (same building) is a Harry Ramsdens chippy with a licenced bar.

Go for the takeaway.

Moto - Fish and chips - £6.99 - quality crap
Harry Ramsdens - Cod and chips takeaway - £4.35 - quality good
