Fracking in UK and Truck Driver jobs

Didn’t find any info on forum yet but thought it would be interesting to have a discussion about this.

UK and conservatives have cracked on with Fracking and according to one of the Fracking company websites they already have more than 10 sites opened and presumably pumping something in or out…

In USA this Fracking created nice money boom for truck drivers who left highways and went to work for Fracking companies hauling their chemicals and oil or stuff, for example this olf fat f… youtube.com/watch?v=gF3hYLB_BHM

In theory something like that should happen in UK as well upon Fracking kicking off but it doesn’t seem so or it’ s very quiet yet, or there are some TruckNet members that already works there and takes home 1000+ pw but don’t tell anyone about that…

So what’s the deal with this - anyone heard anything - anyone already doing something like that?

If one company have 10+ wells then there must have been at least few lorry drivers in UK that have been doing something in there…

I know someone who has delivered to the fracking sites in lancs sussex and hungry ,it didn’t pay anymore than normal to the haulier,and I don’t think the haulier will be doing it next time round as he doesn’t agree with fracking until more is proved .

There’s a big movement against it here in Oz. According to the people that don’t want it, and I believe them; it buggers up the ground water, water tables and spouts some horrible chemicals around the place. High pressure sludge being pumped down, cracking the bedrock just to get oil out can’t be a good answer in the long or short term. Let’s hope that Iran, if they don’t don’t start making bombs, come back online and put loads more oil on the market so that this mob go broke.

Ps: I don’t trust Iran any more than anyone else, but it looks like we’re saddled with it.
