Fowler Welch

Dunno then?:
So if you see a fowler Welch wagon with a ‘Lee G’ nameplate in the window come and say hello and have a brew.

Will do. But whats this scum or skate thing? Is it tribal? :confused:

Skate = Portsmouth FC
Scummers = Southampton FC
Portsmouth FC + Southampton FC = A massive fight and a large amount of local hatred with bottles and alsorts of weapons thrown in.

a bit like chelsea-milwall

Good to hear you did well on your assesment Lee…good luck 4 Monday hope all goes well 4U :sunglasses:

All the best with the job and better looking future :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

This bit interested me…

Then realised I was a plum of the first order. Jumped out the cab and sheepishly went to release the park brake. Luckily Chris just laughed.

… as a newbie was failed on test for not releasing it !!
How daft is that - as you found out, not a safety issue, just a little embarassing and easily rectified…

They didn’t muck about… they had him in Sunday Rog!! LOLOL

As to the park brake … isn’t that a bit harsh failing someone for that?? Could it be possible they never went through the correct procedure before getting out to release it? I vaguely remember being told that when doing my reverse, it was ok to get out and check how much farther back I needed to go provided before getting out the cab, I selected neutral, park brake on and then TURNED ENGINE OFF before getting out the cab to look. Could he possibly have just jumped out the cab, run round and knocked the park brake off?? Cos that would fail him.

Huh, Congratulation. well done

congrats on the job drive . i saw a lee g plate northbound a34 about lunchtime today .sorry i was too slow to flashflash. i was southbound in a blue and white roadways erf happy travels

that would have been me, on my way to didcot tescos then the ■■■■ hole that is the tesco tray wash!

what a place that is, the cheeky ■■■■■■■■ told me they had loaded 26 pallets and the load was flush when i closed the doors so i signed the paperwork then come to unload it, half way up the trailer they had toppled one of the pallets and instead of picking it up and putting it properly they just packed the other pallets around it so it looked like there was 26 on there. the ■■■■■ ■■■■■!

Hows the job going Gib■■? is it as easy as they say :laughing: :laughing:

its a good job to be honest taff. all the lads seem ok in the yard. the work is well easy, the most stressful thing i have had to do is open the barn doors so far, none of this getting in the back with a pallet truck malarky. Good office bods as well, always helpful talking you in with directions to a delivery/pick up if you need them.

im well happy there to be honest, i know its still all new to me but everyone else seems quite happy as well so i guess thats a good sign.

when you in there next? I’m in tomorrow and all weekend i think, then most of next week as well, with one day off inbetween. should be fun but you never know, i might go somewhere else other than chichester and didcot! :laughing: :laughing: (i feel a bit like JD at the moment :open_mouth: )

i haven’t been in there this week been abit further a-field :smiley: and im home this weekend :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

glad your enjoying it,opening the back doors and backing on a bay and going to sleep is one of the perks when on fridges!! :laughing:

you know what truck im in so if you see me in there come say hello :wink: :wink:

i did get the memo, about 2 weeks ago then the following day got a bollocking about the name plate in the window, i just took it out shrugged, its not exactly a sackable offence but do they really need to be so petty■■?

i know they are quite hot on company image but come on… what difference does a name plate make?

but then again rules are rules i guess.

not long to go and im out of there anyway. got a full time job starting in sept. glad of the better wages and my own unit to be honest was going to say longer hours but i dont think thats possible is it?

to true mate. very petty. especially if your one who lives in the truck all week 24hrs a day its nice to have a few home comforts. good luck with the new job!
