came across this while clearing out , its some kind of traffic alert .ie. when you subscribe it uses (or used) sensors along the motorways to monitor traffic and alerts the driver to possible hold ups .this thing probably dates from 70s or 80s?? anyone ever use one ■■? did it work??
didn’t have one exactly like that , but when i was at swifts/salvesen , we had a trafficmaster bit of kit in the traffic office. it was a small black and white lcd screen that picked up info from traffic sensors on motorway and dual carriageways, they’re the blue posts with things that look a bit like cameras on them. The screen would show up traffic speed and incidents etc . It was probably an earlier version to the one in the photo. we had to keep it near the window so it could pick the signal up.
that dates back to the late 90s remember avin one
Vauxhalls in the mid 90s offered this, i remember having a Vectra pool car we had having it fitted.

Some of the old motorway bridges still have the Traffic master tranceavers (spelling) on them.
