What do they actually record,I’m told not only do they record what going on ahead of you ,they record your speed ,also record your voice .
Is this correct ,or does it vary as too what make of forward facing cammera that is fitted

depends on what type and what there set too record

Ours constantly run and when you have a impact or press the record button it will hold the last 30 seconds, sometimes a good thing but also could drop you in the crap

been told ours do 5 mins
suppose it depends on settings etc

Gps, speed, g force, can record internal audio unless mic is off or set to record sound only in event of accident for 30 secs each side. Driver can turn mic off if allowed.

Not in the same context, but I have a forward facing camera in my car. Made me realise how impatient I can be when I play clips back and I am muttering “come on come on” in the background. :smiley:

With so many gangs pushing the ‘smash for crash’ planned accidents, I can see why so many hauliers fit them now though.

our company has them not heard any voice recordings on ours ive looked at on the computer ours record sharp breaking etc but i reckon they run all day ive just bought 3 cameras for our family because im sick off insurers saying 50/50 in cars them cameras in trucks saves our company thousands in claims good thing
