This weekend and every weekend for 10 weeks, the southbound carriageway of the Forth Road Bridge is going to be closed. That means a single lane each way, contraflow on the northbound carriageway

The closures start at 1800 on Friday until 0600 Monday, if they get finished on time.
This will be a nightmare. Especially on the Friday nights, any of you good people thinking of coming that way about then, don’t bother. When its running well you only have a 30 minute queue to go northbound 
. I recommend the detour to the Kincardine Bridge, which will also be busier than normal, because its the only viable alternative .
