I actually heard one driver justifying his job saying “I stayed here because we are fors gold the job I was going to leave for was only bronze”
Complete nonsense that some drivers and firms have sucked up
One thing I will always admire the original “Fast Eddie” ( Edward) for is like me at Bewick Transport he would not tolerate all that BSI/ISO whatever bollox when it started to enter the transport world back in the day. I remember telling this ■■■■ who called on me to try and get me involved that in order for us to become accredited we would have had to lower our standards of operation, plus I never had one customer that demanded we got one of these ■■■■■■■ stupid accreditations ! Just one thing I had in common with Edward ! happy days Bewick.

Yet young bewick has jumped through the hoop
‘Investors In People’ is another similar thing.
It’s almost like some sort of Bullsheet Bingo for companies.

So am.booked on cycle awareness course in couple weeks.
Been given all info. 1st it says me personally I have to pay £8.75 if I want it to do it toward cpc. As it’s there fee for.uploading it onto website. Also been told be riding a bike as part of course.
I’m all for training etc.
But surely make.more sense.if pedal.bikers were made to do this course.
As drivers were well aware of.pedal bikes etc.
Yet they seem.oblivious and just a guess I’d say half don’t have a driving licence. And 99% probably never been in a truck. Surley they should be taken out in a truck as a passenger for about an hour and there soon realise out point of view etc
Don’t your firm pay for your cpc? The course is gov or tfl subsidised to about that figure It’s not a bad one to go on it’s half class room half and a couple of hours on a bike. If you can’t ride a bike or it’s poor weather they won’t take you out due to H&S but you still get the hours
In a nutshell…Just another money making, job creating, (even industry creating) load of ■■■■■■■■, all face and appearances with no real substance.
Along the same lines as DCPC in fact.

Should be other way round in an ideal.world all.pedal.bikers should be made to.go.out in a truck for.an hour round london/Manchester and see things from our point of view.
You don’t have to do a cycle test to gain fors accreditation.
I did’nt.
In true Catherine Tate style, “what a load of old ■■■■■■!”
