I’m just signing up for Welsh classes…yakky dah!

I was in bed with a Welsh girl once and I said “Talk dirty to me in Welsh” so she said “Prestatyn”. :stuck_out_tongue:

He would be better off at Currie European.

You can get 4 bedroom houses down that way for 200 grand, so all things are relative.

Not this one was it…there’s lovely !

you learn something new everyday, good money too :unamused:

I reckon if you did phone about an interview, and asked them for directions, they’d say “Go up by yurr, see”. :stuck_out_tongue:

No Harry. It’s “over by here…”

If chairman May’s promise to drop the Severn tolls comes to pass, (be the first bloody thing she’s promised that does :unamused: ), then the knock on wave effect from more Welsh lads nipping over to Avonmouth for better pay, will hopefully ripple right up to Pembrokeshire.

Its not even as if houses are that cheap out there, they might have been 30 years ago but i bet there’s a hell of an increase in white flight seeing their time out down that way, as far as they get from what that london has become.

Pembrokeshire/West Wales has always been a backwater for transport and wages. Very few transport companies, and very little need for transport. Lots of Welsh boys driving for Irish firms.
As for house prices, you’re as likely to hear an English home counties accent in Pembrokeshire as a Welsh brogue… It’s been a very popular retirement/ rich barsterd second home location.

Dropping the tolls will have an effect on work and wages in South East Wales and the Bristol area. But mainly because companies will (re)locate to the Chepstow/ Magor area.

I know this girl! I also was taking her roughly from behind and she said" Prestatyn, Caerphilly!"…

Does Dipper Dave like some lady ■■■ fudge, buy one, get one free Taff ■■■■.?

Yes the accent in deepest darkest Pembrokeshire is more Oxford English than yakky da.

Don’t think they have a depot at Llanfyrnach.

It’s Mansel Davies’ HQ but I don’t think this advert is from them. Local feed merchant up there has an 8-wheeler bulker which pulls a curtain-sider trailer occasionally to collect other stuff, probably them. Wouldn’t have thought there were a huge amount of hours on this job which possibly explains the salary.

For reference, Llanfyrnach is up the north end of Pembrokeshire, well north of the “Landsker Line” which is traditionally the divide between the English and Welsh speaking halves of the county. There are admittedly some English incomers but it’s very much a traditional rural area; I deliver round there and many farmers are still first language Welsh. Probably be a decent job for someone who needs to be home every night or is semi-retired. and yes the money is poor down here, but so is Mansel Davies and he don’t get many leaving.

Forget the job lads and lasses, the job has gone to Tom Jones, apparently, that’s not unusual.
Think its bulkers hauling green grass of home .
