FOREVER FUELS
HGV Class 1 Driver, Ruthin/Middlewich
6 June 2012
Experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver required for bulk rigid (6-wheel tanker) and articulated lorries, operating partly from our supplier’s factory in Ruthin, Denbighshire and partly from our depot in Middlewich, Cheshire.
Based in Maidenhead, Forever Fuels supplies top quality wood pellets for heating to commercial, domestic and public-sector customers. This vacancy is not a door to door driving job - you must be physically fit, as setting up the pipes to commence a delivery is physical work. The delivery to the end user’s store requires some technical skills (controlling the flow of pellets to minimise damage) and interpersonal skills (dealing with the customer). Training will be provided.
We offer an attractive package:
Standard hours: Mon-Fri 7.00am-4.45pm with 45 mins lunch-break (unpaid).
£10/day turning-up allowance plus £10/hour (9 paid hours guaranteed)
Time-and-a-half 6-7am and 4.45-6pm Monday-Friday.
Double-time 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, bank holidays and weekends.
Full-time (i.e. not seasonal).
22 days holiday per year (20 days in first year).
Generous contributory pension and health schemes to opt in to after first year.
Flexibility required, e.g. you may be asked to do non-driving work in summer.
Setting up pipes for blowing is physical work, must be in good physical condition.
Doesn’t seem to bad that, should really tell him face to face but good luck haha
