I live in Slovenia and was at a party last night and the hosts father is a lorry driver he does the same run all the time Ptuj(Slovenia) to Madrid tip reload at same place tip Barcelona reload in Barcelona return to Ptuj takes him 8 days his wages all inclusive 600 euros and he is happy with his lot

Is that €600 take home for the 8 days ? That’s about £550 so not too bad .

I average 60km/hr and I don’t use peages. So for me that would be 7.3 days apart from tipping and loading. Seems about right if using autoroutes.

Just as long as it isn’t a straight turnaround in Ptuj, of course. :laughing:

Is that €600 take home for the 8 days ? That’s about £550 so not too bad .

Would that not be a month?

I’m sure I read a few years back that the running costs for a truck in Slovejna are almost the same as UK.

basicly logistic company in Eastern European country don t pay per hours,pay for trip or for kilometrs.average normal company(from Poland ,Latvia,Lithuania,)pay 0.12 -0.14 euro per kilometrs.maybe some company pay more.one drivers talk me ,who he drive every mont about 10000-12000 km.,so he said ,can get about 1500 euro per month.(dont know pay tax or not :smiley: :smiley: ).but basicly int.drivers work 7 week work -4 week at home.(rest).so drivers work just8 month per years.total gross pay can be about 12000 per years.normal Germany driver in same job can received 2-3 time more.but it is other history

That may be, but the wages are nothing like the UK.

I got ATS 0.16 per Km and take Home every week between ATS 14000.- and ATS16000.- :smiley:
