Being a former motorsport man,I take the shortest and quickest line through the roundabout,if it is safe to do so.Ken.
So thats straight over the top then

If there’s 2 lanes in and out I’ll take either…Or both if it’s a little 'un
use both every time, stops anyone getting alongside in your blind spot

i’ve noticed that a few of our Polish drivers use their indicators
REALLY■■? WHEN■■?
Roger Breaker:
Can’t answer the original question i’m afraid, but in a similar vain i’ve noticed that a few of our Polish drivers use their indicators when driving around in our yard, just to show they’re changing direction. Not a bad thing i suppose, but they’re the only ones that do it. Anyone else noticed this of Poles?
I am doing that. I think is ALWAYS good to show the others, that you are turning.
And on the top of that, I often do not using hazards when reversing. That’s a habit from Poland, but it’s again better thing in my opinion: if you using your hazards, you can’t indicate where you are going. And to show that you are reversing you have reverse lights, so what’s the point for hazards?
macplaxton:
Where did you learn to drive? Poland?
No, as in Poland rule for roundabounds is the same, except, that we are taking them from other side

Maybe if you stop to grumble about “how bad polish drivers are” and start to paying attention for what’s going on on the road you will notice that as well
What also makes me laugh is the signs on the back of trailers that say ‘hgv restricted to 40mph on a single carriageway road’ most of the population think a single carriageway road is a single farm track not a normal A-B road

Thanks for the reply orys. Yeah like i said, i don’t think it’s a bad thing. I do it myself on desserted roads, more habit than anything, but i also think that’s a good habit to have. (most people nowadays struggle to use them on busy roads! ). Just found it interesting that it’s only the Polish drivers that do it.
As for the hazard’s, i see what you’re saying. Usually i’d put them on to block the road if i needed to, then cancel them and use the appropriate indicator when reversing.
Steve-o:
Unless a sign or marking says otherwise, you can go right at a round about in the left lane. So I don’t know what that highway code pic is all about because that blue car doesn’t just have to go straight on, it can go right.
And the green car doesn’t have to turn right,it can go straight on.

I use them excactly the same way.
what about the many drivers that approach a roundabout in lane 2 hoping that the vehicle in lane 1 is turning left and also turn left themselves.
