Just had an email about this, 5 years warranty against technical faults,loss,theft or accidental damage…
£26 for 5 years cover which is cheap if you consider a screen replacement costs £70 through TomTom!!!
Just signed up £5.20 per year won’t be missed but having to buy a new unit if mine got nicked/lost or damaged would.
Cheers for the heads up, I’ve taken out the 5 year option as well - worth it for the theft and loss insurance on it’s own

Had an email off TomTom direct about this mate,yeah my purchase date was also October through Very too so agreed we do “lose” a few months but it does state from purchase date so wasn’t to bothered about that,£5 a year to cover a £400 device is a good deal as you say complete peace of mind.
Did anyone ever get the rebate from tomtom after buying the satnavs from very?

Weve certainly had a good deal with these units, how has your tom tom performed mate? Mines bin fine altho i havnt used it that much as yet,i just couldnt resist the deal at the time

No,i tried in vain but it just wouldnt accept my details for some reason and wouldnt let me submit it,but hey ho,cheap enough

Mines just come back from being repaired 
The Live services stopped working so sent it off and they’ve replaced the unit the GPS antenna had failed allegedly,kind of convinced me to take out the cover too given it failed after 4 months of use!!
When it’s working it’s great though!

The same unit is also marketed as for caravan’ers aswell so assume that’s what it means,as long as you’ve put the serial number in right you’ll be covered.

Yeah i put it in mate,it did say it was optional but i put it in,all in all gud deal spot on cheers

Managed to get the cash back also off tom tom though I believe it was a bit of a protracted process (didn’t do it myself)
I need to send mine off for a repair. 6000 trucker. The sound has never worked from the day I got it new. I actually prefer no sound anyway so it’s not been a problem but that’s not the point, it should still work! My only issue with it is i deliver to building sites which can be in weight limits. It sometimes plans me going all sorts of weird ways to try and avoid the start of the weight limit and bring me into the road further along as though it thinks only the start of the road is a weight limit even though all of it is!
