:arrow_right: 1983 GMC General ( i know i go on about those… but i loved the one i drove)
:arrow_right: the previous model of DAF 45, i loved those too. First real motor i drove.
:arrow_right: FL10 wendy house.
:arrow_right: Volvo VN780, kicks all other yanky motors into touch big time. Great drive (even round the parking lot)
:arrow_right: Scanny 143… mmmmm
:arrow_right: Stralis - a good Iveco? :open_mouth: First of many? she hopes
:arrow_right: Magnum, definitely

Old Gits Rob! :open_mouth: :sunglasses: Anyway, if theres any brains about in these young’uns, which I doubt, they’ll vote for something comfortable in new motors like the XF DAF 480, or the MAN XXL! By the way, the 02 globe I had was a crap bed, too bleedin hard. But, I did have a N reg FH12, which was a nice motor all round, a lot better!

My old 1986 D reg F12. 385 h.p.

Also my old 113 360 Scania…G reg…There is a picture of it on Keltruck’s website, under spares and export

It’s the white, silver and red coloured one with beacons on the air kit pulling the flat trailer with a unit and a few cabs on.

Cheers,

NIALL.

Has to be the DAF 95 series, it has been the backbone to the most successful range of trucks DAF have ever built, even to his current day witht the new XF105

I’ve met Colin Rawson on many occasions and trust me, you won’t get him in a modern motor.

Believe me Wylie, when drivers really had to work for a living - that was happy  .

Salut, David.

I know where there are three immaculate F16s.

All of them are off the road, but kept in spotless condition. The owner won’t part with them, but doesn’t do anything with them either.

That be T K Gornall in Ribchester then would it

Just for you young’ uns my first lorry was a Atki with a Gardner 6LW and a David Brown box with a Eaton two speed axle ‘ETE 669B’ which had been already been rebuil when I got hold of it, today thirty six years later I have to settle for a ‘Merc Actros’ with the worst gearox that I have ever had to pass 62 hours a week with.

Mal:
Anyway, if theres any brains about in these young’uns, which I doubt,

So what are you saying then any of us born post war are stupid …
people moan about the youth of today and all that crap but what about all you old fools who claim to be older and wiser but at the end of the day you are just stubborn and stuck in your antiquated ways (yes big words from a stupid young person) :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp:

Oi Rob, less of the old git :stuck_out_tongue:

Its just that I have been in this job for a long time, Im nobbut a pup in real terms.

I suppose a DKS or DKSE 2800 will be the truck that will stick in my mind when Im senile and rocking in my chair dribbling :stuck_out_tongue:

DAF3600ATI, i cried, threw my dummy out and jacked the job when it went, but i wouldn’t want to go back to it now.
i love the comforts of an up to date truck these days

MAN 22362 double bunk cab pre Road haus, coupled with a Twin splitter gearbox, went like a rocket and would leave my mate in his F12 globetrotter standing. Still reckon that it was probably the best motor i’ve driven
