For the invincibles among us!

Thought this may be of interest to the drivers who think theyre invincible and that warnings dont apply to them!

"So what about the other people who are affected by this, those in the tailback. All of these are examples of people I have dealt with in the past. A young mother with a baby due a feed, she was only five miles from home and was over an hour from being released from the tailback. A middle aged female cancer sufferer who was on her way to an appointment in Leeds, missed her appointment. A minibus of teenagers on their way to a rugby match in Bradford had to miss the game and, a family of five going to Manchester Airport for a holiday flight which they could have missed.

Let’s turn this on it’s head, shall we?

What about the driver that was delivering 26 tonne of frozen fish fingers to a Morrisons (Other stores are available. ) and missed his booking slot?

What about the guy that was running out of time as a day man, and had to have a night out with no night out gear?

What about the pallet trunker that missed the connections at the hub, and all of his company’s customers didn’t get their pallets delivered the next day?

And all because a CAR DRIVER caused a multiple pile up because he was using his phone/laptop while driving, lost concentration, and crashed into the central barrier, and then bounced off the barrier, then taking another 5 cars with him?

Yet again, blame the truck driver when there’s a problem.

Yes we are not perfect, but why are we such a target for everyone?

Ken.

More overkill by plod.

I like that bit. Basically, a family of five didn’t miss their holiday flight.

They have issued fines to some drivers who hav ignored the signs sayin the a66 is closed to high siders in the past.

I actually thought it seemed a simple message.
Road ahead closed to high sided vehicles, yet many still proceed on the closed road.

The police are merely pointing out how selfish and irresponsible these drivers are.

Which bit did I not understand?

Haha class. How will they catch people though without patrols? Or is there cameras on the bridge

A young mother with a baby due a feed, she was only five miles from home and was over an hour from being released from the tailback.

Evolution provided her with these things attached to her chest called mammary glands which produce milk that can be used to feed her baby. They’re not just for boyfriends/husbands to play with.

Has to be the most tenuous reason ever.

Well, she certainly could have fed the baby in the car, has she never heard the expression " Flop one out " i suppose it never entered her head, or her divvy husbands for that matter, or lets assume she never wanted to leave the queue,to feed the baby, in case it made her late for cooking her ol mans dinner…tin hat on

Shouldn’t have been out of the kitchen in the first place. :-p

Really?

I have chosen not to heed the advice given several times before, mainly because I was fully freighted and took it steady.

Now how on earth would the police be able to prosecute or even get the cps to debate prosecuting me when all I have done is ignored a matrix sign? No red circles passed so no offence committed.

Unless they have put up some new signage that has a hight restriction they would never win that one in court… ever.

Simples… squeak.

I went past the other way and saw the two artics on their side and box van.The two artics were foreign vehicles.
The jam was stationary. The diversion was jammed up.A mobile food van would have made a fortune selling drinks and food to stranded motorists. While at it,flog some newspapers and ■■■■.
When calling the boss to say you have been blown over, say the side mirror is broken.
